EDIBLE EASTER BASKETS

Happy Easter everyone! Meigi and I had fun making these practical creations out of movie candy boxes. We used green shower puffs instead of the typical über messy plastic grass, and because we couldn't find long lengths of laffy taffy, we deconstructed a wire hanger and wrapped it with twizzlers. A hot glue gun, cardboard box scraps for bottom of the "basket", and wire cutters for the ends of the hanger and VOILA! The girls loved the concept (and all the candy and iTunes cards) and admired our creativity! I would say these were a great success!

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter!

SCRUMPTIOUS SUNDAY Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches

This week for Scrumptious Sunday, the hubby helped me select a recipe for Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches. It was super easy and very tasty!!

http://www.sixsistersstuff.com

Ingredients: Top Round Steak, beef broth, Italian dressing mix,
green pepper, onion, provolone cheese, crusty hoagie rolls

A couple things I'd do differently: I put in two small cans of beef broth and only one packet of Italian dressing mix. I would put in two packets next time. Also, I only put in half a chopped onion, because it seemed like a lot. Next time I will put in the entire onion, and maybe even more green pepper, too! More veggies please!!!! :)
